About Iris
Iris Wang was born in Hong Kong and raised in Beijing before moving to the United States to pursue new opportunities through academics and golf. Today, she competes professionally while embracing the lessons, relationships, and purpose the game continues to provide.
More than a career, golf has become the foundation for a lifelong journey of growth. Through competition, community, and continuous learning, Iris hopes to inspire others and leave the game better than she found it.
Looking back, it's incredible to see how one decision at ten years old shaped the course of my life. From local tournaments in China to representing the Hong Kong National Team, moving across the world to pursue bigger opportunities, becoming an AJGA champion, and helping my high school team win a Florida State Championship, each experience became another stepping stone in a journey that continues today.
“Professional golf is my dream, but it isn't the finish line. I hope to use this journey to inspire others, grow the game, and create opportunities that extend far beyond the course.”
Growing up, I was fortunate to experience golf across different countries, cultures, and stages of life. Those experiences have shown me how powerful the game can be—not only in developing better athletes, but in building character, resilience, and meaningful relationships. As my professional career begins, I hope to use my platform to make golf more accessible, support the next generation of players, and contribute to the continued growth of the women's game.
